Drop Off & Pick Up Info - Alexander Doniphan

Start Time: Doors open at 8:30 am and the bell rings at 8:45 am. Any student that arrives after 8:45 am will be counted tardy. Please communicate with your teacher and the office staff if you're child is going to be late to school due to a prior commitment or appointment.

End Time: Students are dismissed each day at 3:45 pm. The exception is on Wednesdays in which students will be dismissed at 2:45 pm. Students will be sent home their primary method unless it is communicated otherwise by a parent or guardian.

Car Rider

If you are planning to drop off or pick up your child via car, please follow the traffic flow for our car rider line. (One way traffic to enter the drop off zone.)

You will travel East on Clay Drive and turn into Doniphan parking lot. Staff will be along the curb to greet you and your child. Students should enter and exit the car from the passenger side while parents/guardians remain in the car. After the student is in or out of the car, follow traffic pattern to exit the lot and turn Right back onto Clay Drive. Please do not come up the hill from Liberty Drive on Clay and turn Right into the drop off zone.

We will have staff assisting students into cars at the end of the day. If you need to get out to help buckle please pull over into a parking spot in order to allow the line to continue to move.

Bus Rider

If your student is traveling to and/or from school via bus, they will use a bus tag to scan onto the bus. At school, the Bus pick up and drop off will be in the lower lot of Doniphan! For pick up and drop off information at your address, use the link below!

Where is my student's route, stop and time?

Walker

Walkers will be split up between east and west walkers depending on your school address. Along the major intersections, there will be school staff members placed to ensure students cross the main roads safely. Only students 2nd grade and up may walk to and from school (unless walking with an older sibling).

There are racks outside for scooters & bikes if your child decides to ride one to school. Please remind students that they need to walk their bikes and scooters on the school grounds and after passing the crossing guard may begin riding.

Transportation Changes

At the beginning of the year, communicate your primary method of transportation with your child's teacher. If you have any transportation changes communicate that to your child's teacher as well as the school secretary before 2:30.
